About Our Church

Our mission is simple:

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

Everything we do as a church family--from potlucks and productions to caroling and communion--fits into one or more of those categories.

Hurley Church of God was established in 1952 by Rev. Helen Steele and a small group of Pentecostal believers. The church originally met in downtown Hurley near Spring Creek, and our current building was built in 1979. The congregation worshiped in the basement fellowship hall until the second-story sanctuary was completed in 1981.

Hurley Church of God is part of Church of God (Cleveland, TN), which was founded in 1886.
